Roof insulation – like putting a hat on your house!
It’s estimated that 25% of all heat loss from an uninsulated home is through the roof.
Which makes insulating the roof space one of the most cost-effective solutions you can take to start saving money on those heating bills.
When a roof space is converted into a room, it requires a different type of insulation that will fit into the gaps between the joists and behind the new walls of the room.
Without this insulation, the room in the roof will be highly susceptible to temperature changes in both summer and winter; in addition, the rest of the house will suffer from the heat loss in the winter if there is no insulation, which can increase your energy bills.
We will install stud walls into the space, and similar over-boarding to the top of the roof, with specialised material in between and around joists to better reduce the amount of heat and energy escaping your property.
Depending on the specifics of the space, this may require removing electronics and replacing them, possibly in a different position. In the event that this is necessary, which would be identified at survey, one of our dedicated electricians will attend the property as well as the installers.
